Black Dog Philanthropic Consulting was founded in 2022 by Lili Leonard, a career fundraising professional, who believes in the transformative power of small- to mid-size nonprofit organizations.
We're Different.
This isn't your "typical" consulting firm. We understand that every organization is unique and has unique needs. Unfortunately, the price point of many large consulting firms is simply out of reach for small- to mid-size nonprofits. That's why we established Black Dog Philanthropic - to help augment the great work of non-profit organizations through bespoke philanthropic consulting at a fair, sustainable cost.
We believe that building solid philanthropic foundations are key to long-term success. That's why we'll work with you to understand your current landscape, identify your greatest needs based on your aspirations, and work collaboratively to establish shared understanding of how and why. Remember that whole "give a person a fish" vs. "teach a person to fish" thing? We're all about teaching.
What We Offer
Do you need long-term help to help you navigate a multifaceted capital campaign, or do you just need a year-end direct mail piece? We can do either, or both, or pretty much anything in between. From grant writing to major gifts portfolio management to annual giving strategies, we will work together to determine a cost-effective solution.
Pricing structures will vary based on the organization's needs - whether it's 10 hours/week, project-based, or a long-term partnership. All prospective clients will receive a needs assessment, free-of-charge, and we'll collaborate to determine a plan of action.
